Medigro was founded in 1996 by a group of medical professionals who secured special rates and benefits from insurers based on their unique risk profile.Led since 2001 by sole owner and CEO David van Heerden, under his leadership the business has rapidly grown into one of Johannesburg’s foremost brokerages.

What makes us different?
Our Managing Director, David van Heerden, has been in the short-term industry for more than 35 years. Amongst others, as a managing director of Alexander Forbes as well as heading up AIG Africa’s personal lines. With our staff, David ensures that our client’s insurance needs are expertly assessed and competently managed in a most cost effective manner.
As an independent brokerage we use leading insurance companies to underwrite our policies and ensure the security demanded by our clients. Our most predominant partner is the Hollard Insurance Company.
